Camping

Last weekend Ryan and I went on our first camping trip! We spent one night in Palouse Falls State Park in Southeastern Washington. A quick trip, but we had fun!



It took me a while but I've finally posted some pictures of the trip here. Ryan's pictures, which were posted promptly, are here.

Recent excursions

Sunday after work Ryan and I took a short hike up to Twin Falls (pictures here).

Then Monday, our day off, we drove down to Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge (pictures here and here).

To say nothing of the dog

Yesterday afternoon Ryan, Liezel, and I rented a canoe and paddled around the Washington Park Aboretum under the 520 bridge. What fun! Pictures are here

My volleyball team won the A-league championship match tonight and we got these nifty sweatshirts:

Mailbox Peak revisited

On Wednesday I wasn't working so I decided to go for a hike. I picked Mailbox Peak even though I've been there before...two miles straight up (it took me three hours) followed by two miles straight down (it took me two hours). This time I made use of my trekking poles--they definitely helped! Unfortunately, the only view I had was of the inside of clouds. Pictures are posted here.
