No more beach

I played my last game of beach volleyball for the season tonight. We didn't make it to the playoffs this time, but we had an interesting time. You can see from the pictures why this is the last game: it's getting dark earlier! These pictures were taken before my match started--we played in some wind and some sprinkles and by the time we were done it was fairly well dark.

Cascade Pass and the Sahale Arm

Yesterday Ryan and I and two other guys from work went for a hike to Cascade Pass. We hiked probably 2/3 of the way up the Sahale Arm, just a bit further than Dad and I went last summer. It was absolutely gorgeous! Pictures are here and here.

The lucky one

How lucky am I? I got to spend four days in the great outdoors with my three favorite boys! We backpacked the Wonderland Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park between Mowich Lake and White River Campground. I had a great time and now you can see pictures from the trip here and here.

Finally, the rest of my pictures from my trip to California are posted: my trip to Walnut Creek to see Wei, Theresa, and Wana, friends from undergrad; my trip through San Francisco to go to Petaluma with Grampa and my parents; my trip to Stockton to see pharmacy school friends, Kaity and Grace; my trip to Turlock to see Monkey; and a few other pictures in between: all right here!

Day 6

On the sixth day Dad and I climbed all the way to the top of the Castle Crags Dome before driving the rest of the way home to Orangevale. Pictures are here!

Day 5

On the morning of the fifth day we did a little spelunking in Sentinel Cave and Merrill Ice Cave before heading out to Castle Crags by way of Medicine Lake. Pictures of the day are here.

Day 4

On the fourth day we drove to Crater Lake, which was absolutely gorgeous. We spent a while driving around its perimeter taking photos. Then we crossed the border into California, stopping for the night at Lava Beds National Monument. Pictures are here!
